Public Policy Coordinator
Kiana Therrien-Tomas is a Bachelor of Arts (Specialized Honours) student at York University majoring in Political Science. Kiana was born and raised in Mississauga but now resides in the heart of downtown Toronto. Kiana enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and the outdoors. She is strongly interested in pursuing a legal career and hopes to attend the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During the school year, Kiana has continuously juggled a part time job as a waitress, excelling in her studies, tutoring young children in French and extracurriculars. She has just been awarded the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence as an undergraduate student. Kiana devotes her extra time volunteering as an Advocacy Team Lead for DEFEND, a Legal Assistant with the Central Etobicoke Youth Agency (CEYA) and a volunteer coordinator with MP Sonia Sidhu’s Team. Beyond the work she does at school, Kiana enjoys working out, going out with friends, and reading in her spare time!
