On February 3, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) welcomed just over of 400 guests to our 17th Annual Toronto Gala at the Fairmont Royal York hotel.

Mel E. Benson,President, Mel E. Benson Management Services Inc. was inducted into the 2015 Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business’ (CCAB) Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame. The ABHF recognizes Aboriginal persons whose business leadership and commitment to community have made a substantive contribution to the economic and social well-being of Aboriginal people and communities.

The CCAB and ESS, a member of Compass Group Canada, are pleased to present our 2nd recipient of the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur of the Year award recipient Kendal Netmaker, CEO and Founder, Neechie Gear. This award recognizes an up-and-coming Aboriginal entrepreneur under the age of 35 and recipient of a $10,000 financial reward.

The CCAB would like to thank Pat Horgan, Vice President Manufacturing, Development and Operations, IBM Canada Ltd.and Craig Lauzon for being our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
