MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) is a national Indigenous, non-partisan association. Our mission is to promote, strengthen and enhance a prosperous Indigenous economy through the fostering of business relationships, opportunities, and awareness.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department activities.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration for the department
  • Support the marketing team with the planning, implementing, and monitoring of marketing campaigns/projects
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials
  • Assist with marketing events such as forums, conferences, webinars, research report launches, and trade shows
  • Help evaluate communications data and create reports on key metrics to monitor and analyze trends
  • Help write and proof content for different platforms such as website, social media, promotional materials
  • Provide administrative and support for a variety of marketing programs
  • Coordinate French translation for CCAB materials and promotions
  • Monitor, update, and maintain CCAB website (English & French)
  • Assist with In-partnership/member sponsored projects and events (helps implement marketing and communication plans based on sponsorship contracts and benefits)
  • Participate in the integral role of ensuring the Marketing team achieves the scope of work, deliverables, and CCAB’s annual goals and benchmarks for the benefit of the entire organization, board, CCAB members, and partner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well-organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, work independently, and follow through to resolve day-to-day administrative matters
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Able to adapt to new assignments and apply best practices to refine and improve work processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive data and confidential information
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, online marketing tools and applications, and marketing campaign development is also helpful

  • Familiarity with Indigenous business and relations
  • Working in a member-based organization
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • MPower, PowerPoint, WordPress, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Campaign Monitor
