Kan-Arm’s Mining Division services extend from pit design and development from early stages of planning, feasibility designs, drone surveying, access plans and development to construction of small hole to large hole blasting anywhere from flat benches to steep slope. We can execute designs a large variety of conditions and restrictions utilizing technology and experience within the construction division to optimize opportunities in the mining industry.
Our Construction Drilling & Blasting division provides safe and controlled Urban Drilling and Blasting techniques that are utilized for servicing both new development, and upgrades to highways, municipal roads, pipeline construction, and residential development and clean/renewable energy projects. Our highly experienced team specializes in sensitive infrastructure development projects, while our in-house engineering department ensures we meet project quality requirements.
To support our Drilling & Blasting operations, we also complete rockfall protection measures in-house to allow for optimal efficiency while maintaining safety as our number one priority.
For other geohazard works, Kan-Arm has a division dedicated to providing rockfall solutions to ensure continual safety of work environments, while maintaining and exceeding industry standards for both safety and quality. Services include rock bolting, soil anchors, meshing systems, rockfall barriers, fencing, scaling, trim blasting and an in-house engineering team to provide custom design and solutions. Kan- Arm provides casing systems for tieback or soil anchor and de-watering for both small and large anchor installation; capabilities are for install of both permanent or temporary casing. Recent experience includes stabilization of a moving landslide, 1 of 2 ever completed in Western Canada (2021) safely and efficiently, drilling and blasting up to six meters of critical infrastructure without damage.
