innov8 Digital Solutions Inc. is one of Canada largest independently owned and operated office equipment sales and service organization.
Innov8 is a culmination of several independent corporations into a strong, customer-focused business. The company catalyst was the acquisition of Lakeside Office Systems in Kelowna by Andre Brosseau in 2013 from Canon Canada. Lakeside was a mid-size operation which had been operating for over 20 years with 10 employees, servicing over 600 clients in the Okanagan Valley and Kamloops.
Within 2 years the client base doubled and Innov8 was recognized as the fastest growing Canon Dealer in Canada.
In May 2015 Andre teamed up with long time colleague Brent Cartier to purchase Unity Business Machines Ltd. based in Victoria. Unity had been operating since 1978 and was known as the industry leader and largest in the market.
The following September saw the merging of Innov8 and Unity under the same corporate structure of Innov8 Digital Solutions Inc. carrying forward under the Innov8 banner. Three months later, Innov8 acquired long standing Nanaimo-based business Unity Business Systems Ltd. who also had sales and service offices in Courtenay and Campbell River. This gave Innov8 the Island wide coverage they were aspiring to offer their client base and set them up for the next move.
On February 1, 2017 Canon Canada sold their Vancouver Island operations to Innov8. With this purchase, Innov8 became the largest independent equipment supplier on the Island. Not to stand still, 2 years later, February 2019, Innov8 acquired Lang Business Machines in Nelson BC.
June 1, 2020, Innov8 expanded operations to Alberta after some dramatic changes to the market. After 6 ½ years out of the market, the opportunity presented to open up offices in Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary; a market known very well to Sr. leadership.
