The Det’on Cho Group of Companies is a development corporation dedicated to strengthening the economic self-sufficiency of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation by pursuing economic opportunities in the Northwest Territories and beyond.
The company was established in 1988 with a $15,000 grant. Over the last 35 years of hard work, determination, and adherence to Dene values, Det’on Cho has grown into a group with a portfolio of 21 operating companies, including seven wholly-owned subsidiaries and 14 joint venture partnerships.
These companies provide services in logistics, environmental consulting, camp management, construction, waste management, transportation, exploration, mine remediation, aviation, and more. Det’on Cho also focuses on career development and building capacity for its 1,300 team members.
