Nick Javor Bio

Nick Javor is former Senior Vice President, Development for Tim Hortons Canada.

During his 20 years with Tim Hortons Nick has held various executive management positions. He is currently the Principal of Oskee 1 Consulting.  His practice is helping iconic franchise brands to grow and develop in non-traditional ways.  He continues to work with hockey icon and humanitarian Ted Nolan, bringing franchise opportunities to the Indigenous Peoples.  He is also involved now in medical cannabis, helping a licensed producer applicant with their branding and retail distribution systems.

Nick is a graduate of McMaster University where he received his degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration.

He has served on numerous Boards, including: the Canadian Franchise Association; Tim Horton Children’s Foundation; Arctic Children and Youth Foundation; Special Advisor to the Ted Nolan Foundation and as a Patron Director of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.

Nick is especially proud of his role in creating Tim Hortons aboriginal relations strategy – Horizons; with a focus on economic development and education.  He was also the co-creator of the DevelopMEntor program with Dwight Powless of Algonquin College, creating job opportunities for Aboriginal Youth who are trained and prepared for their first experience in the workplace.  Nick was directly involved with over 20 Tim Hortons franchise projects on traditional lands.

Nick relaxes by pecking away on his Blackberry (yes, he still uses a Blackberry), while consuming on average 8 cups of Java a day.  He has 2 amazing, millennial adult, texting children who are “iPhone People.”Lisa, his wife of 35 years, does not text.  She likes to talk to people face-to-face!
