Ken Price Bio

Ken Price began his career at TimberWest in 1994.

He is currently the Partnerships Coordinator for TimberWest, and is responsible for the relationship development with First Nation groups across the Company’s operation. Most notably, Ken leads and organizes TimberWest’s first nations programs in a format that is consistent with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) certification called Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR). TimberWest achieved PAR certification in 2017 and is the first forest company in BC to have accomplished this goal.

Ken has a degree in Natural Resource Management and First Nation Land Claims with a focus on Geographic Information Systems. In 2006 Ken became a member of the BC Association of Forest Professionals as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT).

Ken is a member of the K’ómoks First Nation, and served one term on Council (2011 – 2013) where he was involved in the North Island Hospitals project. Later, his involvement in the project came by the $100,000 TimberWest donation focused on First Nation cultural components for both the Comox Valley and Campbell River Hospitals.

Ken is married to his wife Angie and they have twin 11 year old daughters, Sieva and Mahatta. Family activities include, cultural activities with K’ómoks First Nation, outdoor adventures and enjoying their peaceful 8 acres where they grow Christmas trees and fruit trees.
