Kianna Therrien-Tomas

Kiana Therrien-Tomas is a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts recent graduate from York University with a major in Political Science. Through her undergraduate degree she was awarded the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence and has published a research paper on The powers of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights towards the implementation of gender justice laws at the national level in South America. Kiana is interested in pursuing a legal career and hopes to pursue a bilingual legal education in Canada.
Kiana devotes her extra time volunteering as an Advocacy Team Lead for DEFEND, as a legal intern for Jamieson Law and a Legal Assistant with the Central Etobicoke Youth Agency (CEYA). Kiana enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.
