Catherine Porter

Senior Associate, Events & Awards

Catherine Porter is originally from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory and is currently the Event Associate with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB).

Currently residing in Kitchener with her husband and three children, Catherine moved to the city in 2012 to pursue her Bachelor of Public Relations (Honours) at Conestoga College. Since graduating in 2016, she has spent the majority of her career helping Six Nations community members achieve their employment goals through her work with Grand River Employment and Training (GREAT). An Indigenous-led, non-profit organization that provides employment and training support to Six Nations band members. Specializing in communications, Catherine is extremely passionate about leveraging her education and work experience to help Indigenous organizations strive.

Outside of her work with CCAB and everyday mom life, she enjoys visiting her family and friends in Six Nations, the arts, and communications consulting with her sister.
