Associate, Marketing and Communications

Donna graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Fine Art History. While attending university, Donna worked as a gallery interpreter for the Royal Ontario Museum and was a tour guide for a world renown art installation. With a Marketing and Merchandising diploma, Donna designed accessories that were sold in various Toronto clothing stores, styled photoshoots and worked with a variety of other creatives.

Prior to starting with CCIB, Donna had a successful career in the hospitality and events industries having worked as an Event manager at numerous premier event venues. As Senior Park Interpreter for Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship, Donna created and delivered engaging educational programming at campfires and amphitheaters, on guided tours and hikes, and other large scale public events.

After leaving the events world, Donna worked at ADP Canada writing numerous articles and Tips of the Week read by thousands of Canadian small business owners. As a freelance marketing specialist, Donna wrote a two-page article for Fine Lifestyles magazine and was interviewed on live radio promoting a local music venue.

Donna is thrilled to be working for CCIB and looks forward to supporting Indigenous business.

In her spare time, she enjoys collecting and selling vintage glassware, socializing with friends, cottaging and being in nature.
