Industry and Inclusion (2019): An Analysis of Indigenous Potential in Federal Supply Chains

Published: 2019

In partnership with Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Relations Canada (CIRNAC), CCAB and Big River Analytics Ltd. conducted an overlap analysis using Federal procurement data and findings from CCAB’s national Aboriginal Business Survey. Industry and Inclusion: An Analysis of Indigenous Potential in Federal Supply Chains maps Indigenous business capacity onto areas of high growth and high demand in the most up-to-date Federal procurement records. The data demonstrate that there is sufficient capacity to support a procurement target that ensures 5% of annualized contract values are awarded to Indigenous businesses across the Federal family.
