COVID-19 Indigenous Business Survey Phase II: First Nations, Inuit, and Métis businesses

COVID-19 Indigenous Business Survey Phase II: First Nations, Inuit, and Métis businesses

October 28, 2021

Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB), along with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is proud to release this report on the impact of COVID-19 on First Nations, Métis, and Inuit businesses. This is part of a series that takes a closer look at the different experiences of businesses during the pandemic, with the other report looking at the impacts on Indigenous women entrepreneurs. Looking through a gender and identity lens will help us to better understand the needs of Indigenous businesses into the recovery period.

Data from CCAB’s COVID-19 Indigenous Business Survey Phase II was analyzed to produce this report on the experiences of Indigenous women-owned businesses. The online survey included 825 Indigenous business owners and professionals, collected between December 18, 2020 to February 1, 2021.
