Mahihkan is an Indigenous-owned business providing engagement and event planning and design services to a diverse client group, including Federal and Provincial Ministries, Indigenous organizations, local governments, non-profit societies, and businesses. We offer a comprehensive array of services throughout Canada and are bi-lingual.
Mahihkan was formed in 2022 by four founders whose passion was to work in the context of Indigenous issues and provide a comprehensive solution for the often-related aspects of engagement planning and event planning. Mahihkan seeks to bring a sense of order to any project, helping clients simplify a large array of complex variables into a well-defined, and comprehensive workplan considering and managing significant risks.
The founders, who have worked together for over 20 years, bring together their experience and commitment to be a values-based, diverse, and inclusive organization, with an imperative of providing services meeting a consistently high professional level with uncompromised integrity. Mahihkan continually seeks means to be more effective through training, personal development, the appropriate application of new technology, and seeking opportunities to provide more and varied value-added services such as financial administration and graphic. Collectively the owners have more than 50 years experience designing and managing events and engagements. Before forming Mahihkan, the founders all had experience providing services specific to their areas of expertise and in working together. Mahihkan delivers services through combining the skills of its talented full-time staff with the varied experience of contract facilitators, note-takers, technical specialists, and subject matter experts.
