BMG Indigenous Services, led by founders Marion Roberts and David Barnes, was established in 2024 with a focus on providing high-quality consulting services to Indigenous Communities across Canada. Emphasizing culturally safe and appropriate engagement, we strive to build community capacity, a key step in implementing Bill C-92, and ensuring the Indigenous principles are upheld and respected. We use a two-eyed seeing approach so that our work is guided by established best practices while centring the Indigenous way of knowing and being in all that we do.
Our team is a diverse blend of experts, consisting of skilled and highly experienced Indigenous Consultants working hand in hand with lifelong allies. We understand the value that virtual work can provide remote and rural communities while recognizing the significance and importance of in-person work within these communities. We have been honoured to be invited to communities and our teams work diligently with Band leadership to plan work visits that respect the time, privacy and traditions of each community.
Our thoughtful and considerate leader Marion has also designed a series of Indigenous-specific training courses including multi-course modules on Community Capacity Building, Indigenous Culture for Non-Indigenous Organizations and Reconciliation/Anti-Indigenous Racism.
