Lisa is the owner and Senior HR Consultant at Lisa Isaac HR. In 2018, out of a desire to do things differently in the HR world, Lisa took her corporate knowledge and blended it with an Indigenous approach to policies and procedures and launched her own company: Lisa Isaac HR Professional Services, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting businesses and not-for-profits and giving back to the community.
Lisa is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and has an Honours Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and Not-For-Profit Management from the University of Lethbridge. Lisa has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources and worked with organizations from Coast to Coast in Canada, including those in the energy, manufacturing, and banking sector prior to opening her own HR firm. She also teaches the Certified Indigenous HR Program through the AFOA.
Lisa’s volunteer portfolio is broad. Currently, Lisa serves on the volunteer board of directors for the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) and previously on the board for the national Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). Lisa is also an active member of Moose Deer Point First Nation, her home community.
