Corporations Canada helps Canadians incorporate businesses, not-for-profit corporations and other corporate entities according to Canada’s federal laws and regulations.

The mandate is to provide a regulatory climate that maintains order and fairness in the corporate law arena. This ensures greater certainty in the marketplace and creates a business environment that is supportive of innovation and economic growth, while providing protection to individual Canadians.

The objective of the webinar is to explore the benefits of incorporation, how to incorporate (short demo for basic incorporation), demystify common misconceptions, promote best practices of keeping corporation in compliance, Q&A, receive feedback from participants.

Martin Lacelle

Project Officer, Information and Services Unit

Martin Lacelle is a Project Officer specialized in training.  He currently takes care of training all the new employees of the Information and Services Unit.  He also manages a project to modernize the training of new Corporations Canada employees as well as a number of other small projects.  Martin joined Corporations Canada in 2019 as an Information and Services Officer where he has gained a wealth of knowledge about the incorporation process and the services offered by Corporations Canada.

Martin has a degree in Group Facilitation from Saint-Paul University, in Ottawa. Through his career, he has developed an expertise in training and facilitation by working in the community sector, the private sector and the Public Service.
