Miziwe Contracting Inc. is a 100% owned and operated First Nation Company – MaryEllen Miller, an Elder from Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation holds a 51% ownership and grandson Sebastian Rouleau holds a 49% ownership. Miziwe Contracting Inc. has obtained Patrick Rouleau under a Management Agreement for continuity of the company standards and knowledge transfer utilizing learned expertise in forestry stewardship and enhance company capacity. Miziwe Contracting Inc. also has an interest and the certified ability to train First Nation Members to the certification standards of Ontario.
Patrick Rouleau, General Manager of Miziwe Contracting Inc. owned and operated forestry and forestry related businesses for over 30 years. Operations have included cut to length stump to dump operations, mechanical site preparation, forestry road construction, and road maintenance employing over 100 individuals and sub-contractors on a full-time basis in addition to being an experienced skilled operator, knowledge keeper and teacher on multiple equipment classes and forestry operations with respect to the land, animals and the Stewarts.
