Interprovincial Pipefitting Technology Incorporated (IPT) was founded by Dan and Wanda Marsh on February 14, 2007. Dan’s certification as a Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter, Journeyman Welder and Journeyman Boom Truck Operator provides the knowledge of the demand on the market for qualified, reliable, oil related trade workers. IPT Inc. specializes in oilfield turnarounds and maintenance/fabrication work on plant sites as well as steam and glycol tracing. We also focus on general fabrication including but not limited to agriculture repair, design and construction.
Our head office is based out of Glendon, Alberta and is housed in a new, fully functioning 5900 square foot fabrication shop. IPT is ABSA and CWB certified. We are currently registered in Alberta with the possibility to register nationally and internationally should the right job require. We can accommodate projects that require skilled crews including foremen, supervisors, general pipefitters, welders and iron workers. Our slogan, “Professionals are the ones that make it work; let us make it work for you” is something that we take very seriously and we expect nothing less from each employee/contractor we hire to represent IPT.
All IPT employees/contractors have extensive experience and are required to possess numerous safety tickets including H2S, confined space and rescue, CSTS, WHIMIS, F/A and credited trade levels of Apprenticeship, Journeymen or Red Seal. We take safety very seriously and as a result we require drug testing and drivers abstract for each employee/contractor. Contractors are also required to carry extensive, valid insurance and a WCB policy.
IPT’s professional history includes working with Cenovus Energy in the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range and Christina Lake, Flint Energy, Site Energy, Clearstream Energy, Penn West GEC, NAC, TNT, Bonnyville Welding, Whaler Industrial Contracting, Universal Industries and Tuskony. Other past projects include working on a COGEN facility at CNRL (Horizon) and working on a Tank Erection facility also at CNRL (Horizon) for GEC Installations.
We have had a crew in Ontario assisting North American Construction build an ethanol plant and an additional crew in Vancouver expanding a water treatment plant. IPT has also assisted Quin with the construction of Wolf Lake 4 project, assisted Triton with a shutdown at Christina Lake, Meg Energy and worked with Kiewitt Mod Yard in Sherwood Park.
