Procurement from Indigenous-owned companies is a key driver of economic reconciliation and development for Indigenous communities. An increased focus on Indigenous procurement will grow the Indigenous economy and the overall Canadian economy, building a better country for all who live on this land. Learn WHY it’s important to have an Indigenous procurement strategy and HOW to implement one.

We’ll hear stories about moving Indigenous procurement from a plan to an action. Suncor is the inaugural Aboriginal Procurement Champion of CCAB’s Supply Change initiative, setting the gold standard for including Indigenous vendors within their supply chain. Hear their journey from the past to the present as they share their challenges and success. Deloitte is one of Supply Change’s newest Champions; hear why this firm joined the Supply Change initiative and what steps they are taking to champion Indigenous procurement. We’ll also hear from two Indigenous-owned companies about their challenges and successes: Des Nedhe Development and Carvel Electric.
